[At the sound of a familiar voice, Raven calls for a break.]

I have found that a bracing spar each morning can do wonders in the long run.

I'm doing well. Getting further each day, it seems.

[To Hal, of course. He obligingly switches to video too, adjusting his glasses.]

I doubt that would work for everyone.

Good to hear.

[He smiles slightly, taking his words as compliments.]

Each species has its own method of propulsion.

...propulsion? I guess that's true... Still, there's not many that could handle something like that. You must be pretty strong.

[Raven draws himself up proudly.]

In FOXHOUND, my weapon was a modified M61 Vulcan cannon. I was the only one strong enough to wield it.

...but the M61 Vulcan cannon weighs 248 pounds, not counting the feed system!

[Huey looks utterly startled and amazed.]

You must be one of the strongest people around to be able to weild a weapon of that strength!

You're an incredible man, Mr Raven.

[Huey is honestly rather fascinated.]

Merely a strong one.

[Raven is quiet, thinking out his words carefully.]

Fate is the path we mortals choose to follow. It is inescapable because our own will has us travel it.

Some may see the most likely path, or the paths that all lead to the same destination, and call that fate, but there are always other journeys that may be undertaken.

So fate is... chosen? Doesn't that go entirely against the traditional view of fate?

[That's actually a pretty interesting point of view.]

It depends on which tradition one takes the view from.

Many philosophers have debated the concept of fate and free will for ages.
