Double Post #2 - Potter
I wanted to post my biggest thoughts about Potter before reading other people's... So here goes!
I was right about Snape for the first time!
I totally ate up the Snape / Lily flashbacks.
Ron and Hermione yay.
I really hate James Potter, arrogant bastard.
I'm not cool with what happened to Lupin! At ALL!! Any of it!!!
As I've thought since Book 5, Dumbledore is a plot device, not a character. Some of the things he did didn't make sense other than to obfuscate what's going on to Harry/reader. (eg, There was no good reason for him to leave Snape hanging. He should AT LEAST have told McGonagall - they would have been a much more effective team defending Hogwarts together in secret even if they had to pretend to be enemies in front of the Order/Harry).
I pretty much wish the book had been about Neville, Ginny, and Luna.

The Epilogue was silly and pointless. We already knew Harry and Ginny, and Ron and Hermione would get married and have lots of sex and babies - I didn't really care to know that one of Harry's kids is an arrogant bastard like his dad. Also after all the effort they did to show that Gryffindor != Good and Just and Slytherin != evil, they then go and have all the kids be like YAY GRYFFINDOR IS THE BEST HOUSE EVER AND SLYTHERIN SUCKS.
I think, I hate Gryffindor. After Voldemort fell they should have burned the sorting hat and made everyone Hufflepuff.
