Supernatural: OH YEAH!! I loved last week's episode hardcore (particularly since a friend had remarked that he'd like to see the credit card fraud come back to bite them in the ass some day.) Continuity=win. Could not have come at a better time. Also: Linda Blair. So much more love than the episode from the week before (which is not to say that I dislike Jo, I just think that she could have been, I don't know, a bit less spoiled.)
Torchwood: Dude, fairies? Purple prose? I think I agree with
lynnmonster on this one: more kissing, less talk. I'm waiting for the alien sex pollen orgy, people. And don't make that face at me. With this show? It really could be cannon.
Avatar: The Last Airbender: "The Kind of Omashu" was the episode that sold me on the series because bad jokes? Always funny. Sure, I'm probably going to get beat up at school when the other kids get wind of this one, but it's a decent show. I like the characters and I like where the story is going. It also doesn't seem like the type of show that will run indefinitely, so I'm looking forward to seeing a vaguely American made cartoon (and by "vaguely" I mean "with heavy Asian influence and possibly in Korea") with an actual conclusion. As opposed to, you know, a show that runs for 30 minutes a week and plays for thirty years without going anywhere. We'll see, though. I'll be starting the second season soon and I'm hoping it'll be as good as the first.
Seeing as its been getting a lot of good press, I'm going to give Heroes a try. I did see the pilot a while back, but I didn't give it the two-episode benefit of the doubt I give most shows [whose pilots I feel kind of conflicted about.] We'll see how it holds up.
No J-dramas on the docket this week, I'm afraid. Waiting on the final two Satorare episodes and not digging the live action Jigoku Shoujo as much as I'd thought. I mean, I did think Jigoku Shoujo might make a nice, creepy live action piece, but its not really working for me.
Then again, I'll probably be too busy with finals to be TV-snob about anything for a while.
