ZOMG what a fantastic valentine's day.
On the actual day, we made cookies and decorated them sorta and cleaned the apartment and went to Mimi's for breakfast (mmm mimosas) and Nate's for dinner and Cat's for her birthday party. That was a bit weird, but fun.
Sunday, we went to the Melting Pot and it was phenomenal. I'm feeling kinda sick (AGAIN WTF) but I had the best night ever with my valentine!
Mack was our server and he's adorable. We met him before, but he'd never waited on us. He was a little awkward, but in that way that Chuck is - dorky but very charming.
They had a set menu with four courses - five if you include the shrimp cocktail. They gave us a champagne toast and a goodie bag with a beer glass, mirror, and a ticket for something next time we come in. AND they took a picture of us that looks fantastic... plus Mack brought us each a rose. XD
We also got a really nice bottle of wine compliments of Randi's delightful mother. :)
The fondue was to die for. It was the way food is supposed to taste. It felt like a dream, I am not kidding.
Also, they are very very very polite there... they opened the doors for us and everything.... ::sigh::
Then we went to the bar for one beer in our fancy dresses and that was interesting... smooth turn downs shouldn't have to be wasted on the less intelligent.
Then we went home, had a glass of wine and watched When Harry Met Sally.
I went to bed at 10.
Had a hard time sleeping because of my stuffy nose, but I managed.
Who cares, what a great day....
Today I am feeling achy and I think I'll be going back to bed after class and dreaming about the Melting Pot...
EDIT::
I cannot believe I forgot to write about the Holy Ghost Tent Revival. Oh man. Oh man oh man. We were in the front row - we got flicked with sweat. That in no way detracts from their hotness.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I would totally bang Steve, the lead singer... (he plays the banjo, ladies)
And probably the bassist too... and the keyboardist. Those are the only ones I actually talked to, so that bodes well for me...?
Whatevs, I enjoyed it like whoa.
And Fishbones was delicious.
