Oh, I was going to wait and then I stumbled onto this treasure trove of Spashley/SON Humor videos... and now I have to do a rec post [lol].
Stories! Vids! Stuff! Woo! ;)
The World Will Turn is all the things I love: angst and wonderful writing and massive amounts of sexual tension... Oh the love I have for fics like this one [lol].
The premise is somewhat tried-n-true for a Spashley story - they used to be friends (friends with very 'friendly' undertones) and then Bible-fears kick up and friendship goes out the proverbial window. The biting and anger between the two of them is so well done, so emotional and hard. But the pay-off is delicious... in every way.

Dude. For real. This one is a gem! And on-going! And being updated!
Save Me From Myself is done in an episodic style (written by the same author as the above story & another author) and is in the AU world of Spencer Carlin - intrepid reporter... and of Ashley Davies, rock star with a secret identity.
Seriously good stuff here, lots of fun and well-crafted story. Plus! Really fucking hot sex scenes... no lie, it is fanfiction porn goodness.
Definitely check this one out.

I never do this, so you gotta know how awesome this story is - I am reccing a story that I have not even finished reading. It is that cool.
Watching Me, Watching You finds the SON story that the show told slightly skewed and altered - but Ashley Davies and Spencer Carlin meet still, just under very different circumstances.
This fic is so... random and humorous most times, but then sucker-punches you with these moments of such insecure emotions that you want to cry.
Excellent story. Well worth a sit down.

So this rec and the next one have something in common, but are dealt with in very different ways [lol]. Consider this one the silly/ridiculous one. ;)
Wild At Heart is not usually one I would suggest... but I did find certain aspects to this story kind of funny - to the point of making me shake my head and laugh and still keep on reading.
Spencer Carlin, typical teenager (concerned with her blossoming lesbianism and horny), runs into a pack of wolves whilst out walking her dog - and things take an interesting turn from there [lol].
The first two chapters alone are hilarious and that's why this little fic is here.
Intrigued? Yea, you know you are...

Now, what does this rec have in common with the above? Well, I'll let the title give you a hint...
To Catch A Wolf is vastly more serious than the above story. Set in the late 1800's, Ashley Davies (reluctant member of a traveling circus and with a shady past) and Spencer Carlin (upper-class girl with a heart of gold and unable to walk) come from two very separate worlds. But fate intervenes and their worlds collide - and it'll get harder before it gets better.
The angst is good so far (yep, you guessed it, this is an on-going fic... but being updated regularly) and the UST is hot. Well-written and interesting. Am enjoying this one and I hope you will, too! :)

Your Life Or Mine got me with that first scene (from Season Three, ooh angsty!). But it is edited well - nice match up of the refrain and certain moments. Loved the little part from 1:08 - 1:19
Sweet stuff. :)

Come To Me is just gonna drown you in sappy-angsty stuff [lol]. But I do love the moving aspect of the first minute - great match up of scenes to lyrics. And for real, I like anything that is supposed to be from Ashley's POV and she is trying to get Spencer back.
That is my crack.

Hello is the shit. Seriously. Great song choice and wonderful editing - damn near perfect video for these two (especially in the context of Season Three).
It just has it all: angst, love, Ashley POV... Guh. Very very good.

Goodbye is just furthering my addiction to the angst of S3 Ashley & Spencer. Surprisingly good match up of lyrics to scenes, decent editing - the chorus is so freakin' fitting.
Lovely stuff here.

Ha! Ooh, the sexy...
Radar is just good fun, full of the hotness that is Spashley (and throws in some scenes that vidders tend to forget - so props for that!). The speed of the video actually works well with the song. Some really good fading moments and decent match up of images/lyrics.

Okay, honestly, this one makes me feel like I am about to see the BEST TEENAGE LESBIAN FILM EVER! [lol] And I love it. Great editing and super music choice. Love the use of dialogue, in an overlap sort of way, with the scenes. Really gets your attention.
Makes you want more and that, my friends, is a sign of a good video.

Now, usually I wrap up with pictures. Not this time. This time you get another video - the first in a really amusing series. Basically, this vidder took what appears to be the French-version of SON and did their own subtitles.
I find this endlessly amusing. I really do. Hee. :D
