I can quote the last five minutes of that movie, no problem. Why? 'Coz I love it like a fat man loves cake. Not just the last five minutes, but every single second of Mr. Smith Goes To Washington makes me giddy and emotional and long for the days when films were this good.
TCM was celebrating Jean Arthur (who I adore) and two of her best films were shown right in a row (yes, yes I love Shane, too... but that was earlier in the day) - plus both films are by one of my favorite directors (Capra) and both star my favorite actor of all time (James Stewart).
A lovely day full of good movies. Yay! :D
