New people, everywhere!

Getting off the train at 30th Street, the strangest thing happened... someone (I didn't know) randomly started to talk to me. Now, I consider myself a rather brisk walker, and while not the fastest, it's up there, and as I was the first one off the train, that leaves me fairly certain that she had to catch up to me to start the conversation. Anyway, she (Bird--though maybe with a 'y' or somethng) apparently saw the group of us at the Fitzwater Diner and had seen me before on the train, and finally decided to say 'hi.' Now my ego wants to boast, but then the laughter that the rest of me offers up drowns it out. Anyway, someone new to talk to on the train--assuming I can remember what she looks like (usually I can remember faces and not names, but with a name like Bird, it's obvious which one I won't forget.

Walking back, I call Greg and tell him to meet me at 40th with the bee. Instead of just tossing it around, we actually got to get in on a game! It's been far too long since we got to play, and despite having done terribly the last time we threw it around, I felt I did rather well today. So much so that for what I hoped to be the last play, the bee is thrown rather poorly to someone else, they completely miss it, but I can still get to it. I make a great dive... and promptly miss the catch. Anyway, it was still fun.
