Damn it all
Well, for the 3 of you that read this and don't know, Andrea (my fiancee), Carrie (a mutual friend), Renee, Greg and I are all looking for a place together. Last weekend we found a really nice one down at 19th and Pine (a nice part of town) that would have worked perfectly (save a small bedroom, but we could have worked around that). So the following Monday I call up and ask the guy to hold it for us so we could look it over again, and then sign any papers Friday morning so Andrea and Carrie could see it. Friday morning as we're heading out the door, I get a call from the realtor and am told that he just found out that the house is no longer available.
So now we're scrambling. We've gone to a locater place, which for $158 has given us a list, which currently, is no better than Craig's List. I found another place on CL, it sounds nice, farther away than we wanted, but wants no longer can come into play. Anyway, 6th and Fitzwater, so a few blocks below South. Greg and I crossed the area on our 3 hour trek through the city yesterday, and it seemed nice. There were a couple places we found and one has actually called back. Unfortunately it's a 3 bedroom, so I don't feel it's worth it.
