A bat landed on my back one time when I was a kid. It was the middle of the day too. It freaked me out so much and I've hated bats ever since.

aww bless! :P a similar incident happened when i was younger with a bumblebee. I was on the swing when I realised a bumblebee had perched itself on my lap, so I screamed and jumped about a meter off the swing. It looked so peaceful as well, and I felt bad because it was just enjoying having a swing!! :(
I don't hate bumblebees now but i do run away from them if they're near.
We have bats flying around our garden at night & sometimes they fly into the patio door. It's cute. :):)

If you throw pieces of dog kibble in the air when bats are feeding, they'll swoop down and grab them up.

This I know because bats live in the roof of my backyard, and in the barn. So, I guess when I put my place up for sale, I'm going to have to up the selling price, because of the bats!

Feel free to check out my journal...but I'm sure you'll probably find it quite dull.
