They both arrived on the island on the same day, and they went on a lot of adventures together, much to Ryoji's horror. She did-- or does-- really like him as more than a friend, but after finding out that Ranka also had feelings for him, she decided to not pursue her attraction. She still does get a bit jealous at times, but Katara feels that she's happy with their relationship just the way it is. She wears the x-shaped bracelet he gave her everyday.

To Katara, Ranka is the most adorable girl ever. She's not really used to having a girl friend to actually talk... girl stuff with (Toph being, well, Toph and Suki not being around most of the time) so Ranka was a nice change! Although it took them awhile to actually start talking on a regular basis, Ranka is now one of her good friends. Even though at times she does get slightly jealous of her, but those are usually short bursts.

Another person who Katara is very grateful for because fuck yes girl time. She thinks Yukari is really mature and looks up to her because of that. She's also a good way to figure out if Ryoji is exaggerating about anything from their world!

Her roommate! She thinks that Ruby is a really unique kid and just watching him is enough to amuse her. He's definitely uh, different from the majority of guys that she knows. And since he's so young he sets off motherly mode, but she tries not to show it too much around him in case it gets on his nerves. He's the only person who knows exactly what happened to her mom.

Hyobu was the first person that Katara disliked. Very strongly dislikes, but since he hasn't actually physically hurt anyone she doesn't actually hate him. The moment he does then it will upgrade! But everything about him sets off her "this is an extremely horrible human being" vibes. And when she distrusts someone she... seriously distrusts them, so no matter what he does she automatically thinks it's bad.
