Brighton gig, 9 Aug
So yea, we've been slack and neglected to inform anyone about our gig in Brighton tomorrow in aid of a Zimbabwe youth centre - here's the info:
Uhuru Festival - Polar Central, Brighton, Wednesday 9th August, from 7pm.Ndeipi Everyone! Please get involved! A fundraising gig for our beautiful, radical centre in the ghetto in Harare. A Centre with much potential, in much need of funds... For more details contact Rowan on rowansawday@another.com. At The Hope (formerly Polar Central, formerly The Lift) on Queens Road, Line-up includes UK National Beatbox Champion, Beardyman; live hiphop/dub band Bad Science, fronted of course by "the most promising new voice in Brighton" Dizraeli; Brighton scratch DJ JFB; Breakcore-influenced London DJs Usedtobecool who always rip shit up; a live Mbira band for that Zimbabwean feel; politically dangerous, poetically sharp Irish poet YAP; plus Hammer and Tongue poets Chris Polymath Parkinson, Jonny Fluffypunk and AngrySam.
