[Some newcomers would look confused or upset; Nagi simply looks blank despite the Psyduck complaining in the background. It's not worth trying to quiet it right now.]
I assume there's a reason for waking up in the world of a game. Any information about why I'm here would be appreciated.
[At this point, Nagi fiddles with the privacy settings he's

There's no hiding the somberness of his response.]
I see...
I've been staying with Ken-kun and Youji-kun for the time being. Ken-kun's Pokémon are high-level thanks to the duration of his time here. Until something changes, it's necessary to stay with them.
Your continued presence is welcome for me. However, given circumstances, it's something that will have to be cleared with Ken-kun and Youji-kun before I can formally invite you. Youji-kun... may be difficult.
Reply
What's difficult about it? He should remember the assistance I gave Weiss at Koua and know that I'm not the enemy.
Reply
For Youji-kun... that memory doesn't exist. Somehow, he exists here as he did years ago. Before I even dropped the name Omi.

[Give him a moment to process that one.
A moment in which the Psyduck manages to climb into his lap.]
I'm not sure if that's stranger than being here in the first place or not.

[Notices the Psyduck.]
So that's your starter.

They do, from what I remember of playing the games, but it'll take a while to get to that point.

Toge, toge!
[Mamoru glances off-camera and sighs a bit, then turns the camera onto Togepi.]
Is that want you want?
[The Togepi waves both arms at the camera while bopping on the balls of his feet.]
Prrrrrrrriiiii!
[That means "Hello!" for Psyduck.]
Reply
[At least Mamoru's learned to understand his. Nagi's still working on that part. He adjusts the camera to his Psyduck, who grumbles and grabs his head.]
Psyyyy?
[Sorry, Togepi, you gave him a headache.]
Reply
[Are you okay? :< ]
[Mamoru's just learned to be a good guesser. Togepi is too much like an actual child.]
It will. The alternative is to work until the money for purchasing an egg is saved.
Reply
[Nope]
[They both have useless Pokéemon. At least Nagi can sympathize for Mamoru's predicament.]
I may do that. I don't think I'll be welcome staying with Ken and Yohji for too long if they even agree in the first place.

[Mamoru turns the camera back to himself. Sorry, Psyduck.]
It seems our agreement from home may not be possible here, doesn't it? Even if your power remained, the funds to compensate you aren't within my reach. Upholding an alliance until the situation can be rectified is of interest to me. However, until that time... making secondary arrangements may prove a necessity.

[He listens intently. Nagi knows that Mamoru doesn't have money here, but he still wants to protect him and work for him. Ever since he left Sister's, Nagi's life has been one of serving people and he's honestly not sure how to live without following someone else and protecting them. He's thought about what it might be like, true, but that's different from knowing how to live on his own.]
I'm not sure what other arrangements I could make.

I'll have something worked out for you by then. Rest assured.
