I'll keep this short -- does anyone have tips for beating the Azalea Gym Leader? I'd rather go in prepared this time so I don't lose and end up embarrassed like last time.

[No matter how much he complains about Psyduck, he's sitting here petting the bird's feathers lightly as it rests against him.]

doing research, reluctantly needs help, ken: frustrating nagi eternally, actually likes psyduck sometimes

Well, what Pokemon do you have that are leveled up enough? Azalea is the bug type gym, if I remember right.

My strongest team is Psyduck, Drapion, Alakazam, Marowak, Quagsire, and Empoleon. I'm trying to get Gengar and Mareep stronger.

Does Empoleon know any ice moves? [Gus is looking through his Pokedex for info on the various species. He can see how it might be a tricky spot to be in.]

Not yet. I might try having Gengar go after everything with Shadow Ball, since that's a strong move most of the time.

That could work... you'd just need to be sure that it would be able to take the hits. Your Empoleon and Quagsire can both learn Stone Edge, though. I know they sell it in Goldenrod. You could always have the TM delivered to where you are?

I might do that. Thanks for the tip.
