[Scuffling and the like are pretty much ignored by her, as she's kind of distracted by the Mankey that's staring daggers at the Butterfree a few feet away. This is just. The worst team ever, it really is.

However, she snaps out of her daze for a moment upon hearing her name, glancing over for just a moment.]

And what question would that be, Jiraiya? I'm trying to keep a war from happening over here.

[He laughs a little, tossing the ring up and catching it.]

They don't get along at all, do they?

[He has to pause to grab the Chimchar he named after Sensei and keep him from turning the gear back on.]

I've been looking for a good time to ask this for... years, really. I never could seem to find one. Now's better than never! And we're not drunk.

[Luckily for him she's more distracted by the Chimchar and just how stupid and improbable that thing is. ... Until the Mankey tries to attack the Butterfree and she's scooping the crazy little monkey thing up.]

[He holds out the ring...and has to punt the Chimchar to keep him from swiping it.]

Get out, you little brat!

[But not very hard, so the Chimchar is right back--and being good for the moment]

Anyway! You know how I feel for you, Tsunade. I've never been very subtle. [A bark of laughter]

... Oh hell, marry me?

[He's honestly half-expecting getting punched but--]

[Give her a moment, brain is trying to comprehend just exactly what he's saying and if it's a joke. Considering the fact there's a ring there and the fact he's not directly hitting on her otherwise...]

You're not joking? [Goes quiet for a moment or so, kind of petting the Mankey's head as she ponders over what to say next.

In fact, the next part's in a rather quiet tone of voice.]

My record's horrible as hell with this kind of thing, you know that.

I know your record; I'm asking anyway.

[Just as quietly, smiling but very subdued.] Intended or not, it is a second chance. I want to make the most of it, for as long as it lasts.

Jiraiya... Look, it's probably still too early to even give you a proper answer. Perhaps start a bit... slower?

[He tucks the ring away at that. Still kind of subdued, but it's not a no.]
