So far that I know, you can or can't have a battle when you encounter a Pokemon. But I suggest it's better to have a battle all the way.

What women like? Flowers and cute creatures maybe?

About tiny creatures informed you earlier, you could get an egg at the Violet ranch. Who knows it could hatchs really cute one.

The next stop after Cherrygroove City. My friend runs a ranch there and of course he got plenty of eggs.

It's Pokemon egg. I plan to visit there with my friend who just appeared in Route 29. She loves to take care of cute creatures.
