That's what I've heard too. I have an egg that's going to hatch into some kind of electric lion but other than that I don't have anything with a type advantage. I think I'm just going to skip Falkner and come back later, my friends are all itching to leave Violet and I don't want to hold them up.

I got some cool Pokemon from other people, too! I just bought a Charmander, like they've got in the games! I wonder who breeds all these...

Neat! So you're from somewhere where the games existed too? The only ones I've got from the games are a Pidgey and a Gastly. Oh, and an Eevee egg. A lot of different people breed them though. One of my best friends is a breeder and so was the man I bought my Eevee egg from.

[It's okay. John for the life of him can't figure out how MAMMALIAN POKÉMON make EGGS. It will forever be a mystery.]

I haven't heard much either, I just know it's the next city on the map. I wonder what type the leader there uses...

It's actually really easy to get a job here though, seems like everywhere is always hiring. I work at the pokémon center, myself.

I bet they have Bulbasaur if they have Charmander. You should get one and raise it so it's strong enough to be okay against Orange anyway! And then we should battle.
