[ this is an ungodly hour to be awake if you aren't insane like the two of you, and Rise's been getting her energy back, so that she was asleep when the 'gear startled Kanzeon into shrieking.

So it is that one very tired girl with her hair deciding to curl in even more directions than usual is worriedly looking into the room. What if it's not the same thing that happened to Ven? What if she's sick? What if something happened like the fog with Nanako, only she was pretty sure there wasn't any fog, but dammit this is Lightning-- ]

[ He's sagging in a chair by the bedside, looking fretful and unhappy. When Rise arrives he glances up, motioning to the pale figure in the bed. ]

She's fine. Just sleeping.

[ with a concerned glance at Leon, she approaches the bed. She's quiet for a minute, as though she's searching for something, then abruptly heaves a sigh and slumps her shoulders. Terrible posture for an idol, but she doesn't particularly care about that right now. ]

She just-- fell asleep?

[ ... well, good thing it was Leon, Lightning suddenly collapsing would've put Rise in Panic Mode. ]

[ He nods, mouth set in a tight line as he recalls the way she floundered mid-punch, flopping forward like a dead weight. ]

She collapsed during our spar. I caught her before she fell, but she was already asleep by then.

[ He pauses, frowning. ]

It was like someone had switched her off.

This has happened before. [ It's the first thing he says, because he realizes Serah has probably never experienced this. He's sitting in a chair next to the bed, elbows on his knees, head bowed. ]

People collapse, sleep for a week or so, and then come back with memories that they didn't have before. As if they're going home.

[ He frowns a bit at the thought, but shakes his head. ]

I've seen this happen a few times now, and there's never been anything like that.

[Yeeeeah, guess who's coming in even later than Serah? She's still a little nervous and careful around Leon right now, after he chewed her out earlier. At least her burns were healing well though.

Pichu peers over her shoulder while the girl kind of rubs the back of her head when she comes in, curious about Lightning.]

So uh, she just like... knocked out in the middle of it? Did you over do it again, or is that normal for her?

She just collapsed. I took her here as fast as I could, but she still hasn't woken up. And neither of us is responsible for this.
