[ Once again, Yuffie has hijacked Leon's pokegear, intending now to properly film the proceedings. She and Aerith are having a grand old time cheering him on, as Skarmory stares down her first opponent, Bugsy's Pinsir. She makes predictably short work of it, tearing it apart with a few choice Air Slashes. She makes even quicker work of Heracross, with its quadruple weakness; it's only when Scizor comes out that things start turning around.
Scizor is weak to nothing that Skarmory can throw at it, and the gym is ringing with the futile sound of metal on metal as Skarmory attemps vainly to throw down her opponent; her only advantage is flight, but it's of no use when distance serves no purpose. Yuffie is breathing a harsh 'come on, come on...' when Leon suddenly recalls Skarmory to her ball. He quickly throws another fighter into the ring. Mosey the Houndoom emerges, freshly borrowed from Aerith and looking eager to fight.
In its defense, Scizor is a strong contender despite the crippling type disadvantage; when Mosey finally takes the metal insect down, there's a hint of relief in Yuffie and Aerith's cheering, and the feed finally cuts out. ]
