[the video shows Subaru looking considerably more focused than usual. Yes. You can work at various places in the town, but-- the PokeCenter seemed the most rewarding, to me.

You don't need to work much to get enough money for traveling, at least. [unlike him, who worked for three full-time shifts and would have kept going for free if he hadn't had to, um, suddenlyleavetown.]

A lot of people travel very rapidly between the cities, so I'm sure it depends on how much money you'd like on hand in case of emergency. Everyone seems to make do.

It was only around 200 a night for my room at the end-- I made more than that in an hour of work, so it was very nice. The beds are fantastic after traveling.
