[the video clicks on to show Subaru looking a little less emaciated and death-warmed-over than he did previously, at least. care packages and Hokuto's care have helped him not die while traveling towards Cherrygrove to meet Watanuki. Currently, however, he looks completely baffled.]I'm sorry to bother everyone again so soon, but-- Hokuto-chan-- her ( Read more... )

We all received Pokémon eggs around Christmas time. That one must be yours. Though I must admit, it's surprising that it has not hatched by now.

Well, Hokuto-chan has been taking care of it, so I've been sick-- I... hate to admit that it may not be in the best of health, but Hokuto-chan seems to be doing what she can.

It might also simply be particularly rare. Common Pokémon tend to hatch the quickest, after all. Try taking a walk with it, if you feel up to it. All the eggs I've seen liked that.

I haven't done very much walking at all-- though I suppose Hokuto-chan has done some. [in the video, you might notice Subaru being passed the egg and wrapping it up in his blanket.]

Can you hear anything from it, or feel it move? If you do, a good walk or two might be enough to hatch it.

Ah... Yes, I can! [Subaru beams!] I'll make sure to carry it with me when I continue walking. That will work, right?

It should. You'll soon have a wonderful new friend. I hope it'll be friendly.

I hope so, too! It'll be nice if Hokuto-chan has a friend.

My whole team tends to get along like siblings. Of course, two of them were the argumentative type of siblings at first, but they learned to get along. Even if they start off on the wrong foot, your Hokuto-chan and the little one should get along splendidly.

Mm! I'm sure Hokuto-chan will take care of them, either way. She's not the sort to fight very much, unless you're trying to do something wrong. [like decide you don't need a blanket when you clearly do.]

Some Pokémon do seem more peaceful than the others. Rosie trains a little, but she prefers to spend her time painting.

Oh, your Pok--emon-- [he stumbles over the word a little, but gets it out unmangled in the end] paints? That sounds delicious.

I once taught her how to trace a few letters, and it sparked her interest. She has enough talent to have managed to paint a portrait of her sweetheart.

Oh! She must be so happy. I didn't realize they would have interests like that-- but it shouldn't be surprising...!

Pokémon can be rather human-like at times. Some of them are hard-workers, some of them are lazy, some of them are slobs, some of them care about fashion... To be honest, I think they have more personality than the human locals.

It's starting to seem like they do. [Subaru smiles a little at Hokuto-chan. She acts way too much like his sister, it is adorable... and maybe a little creepy if you're not Subaru.]

I'm sure she'll care about fashion.
