[Artemis himself switches the camera on this time, to show a battle worn Bulbasaur resting on the sidelines as Demeter the Sandshrew wraps up this Trainer battler. Looks like someone's venting his frustration about sleeping Kisa out on cocky trainers. In the calmest way possible of course.
The camera turns to display Artemis, at the bottom of the screen you can just make out the top of the egg he's holding in his arm.]
Demeter has really improved in battle. This may mean Metis will also show some change in attitude when fighting.
[He's cut off after that. Not by the ego-trodden trainers losing words, which Artemis preferred to half-listen to anyway in any fight. But instead we get to see what has his attention as he focuses the camera on the Sandshrew and Bulbasaur infront of him. Both begin to glow simultaneously, filling the screen with a blinding light until the lens manages to adjust and focus again.
There, bold as brass, stands an Ivysaur and Sandslash, gazing up at their trainer.]
Interesting.
[The PokéDex blurts out its congratulations but once again Artemis is distracted. Turns out Attis and Demeter aren't looking at him, but the egg he's holding.
Cracks web their way across the eggs shell, connecting and branching off until the pieces begin to break and fall away. Artemis swiftly throws his communication device to Demeter so he can get a secure two-handed hold on the newest infant.
Eventually, in Artemis' hands where an egg was once cradled, instead hangs a small baby lizard, complete with egg shell cap.
The Charmander hatchling opens its eyes and coughs a small cloud of smoke at its trainer.
Artemis was not expecting all of this, that's for sure.]
