[Once the video comes into focus, Touya can be seen in the Ecruteak Pokemon Center, apparently sitting at a table with the Pokegear propped up in front of him.]
I understand days like today are supposed to be of significance in the human realm. Admittedly, I don't understand how marking the date of one's birth is supposed to be important--honestly, I'm not even sure if my own is even today at all. I always used the winter solstice as a reference point, where it's basically the only day of the year with even the smallest amount of significance to me.
[Touya paused, leaning his head on his hand--and apparently not noticing the Vulpix clawing its way up the back of his chair.]
Is it celebrated because humans have so few years to live when put in perspective with so many other things? [Morbid though it may have seemed on the surface, he sounded like it was an honest question.]
Either way, if I'm to use the approximate time of the solstice as a guideline, that means I'm...let's see...One hundred and fifteen. Give or take about three years, I tend to lose track.
[As he spoke, a sort of half-smirk worked its way across his face.]
So what do humans do for this particular occasion?
!evening,
