[Speaking of mischievous blobs of grape jelly, there's one peering at the screen right now, apparently pinged by the antics of one of his brethren.

How this particular molecular puddle of purple goo managed to get hold of Yagyuu's Gear, and why it happens to be using it without his express authorization, is anyone's guess.]

Ah-- [is about all Naoto gets out before Dupin zooms down her arm to peer at the Gear curiously before waving a little purple stubby arm.] Dit, ditto!

[Another Ditto! And a dash cunning one at that; Arsène is positively delighted, and blobs cheerfully for a minute before waving back.]

[Dupin can make another friend, this is amazing!! Dupin moves towards the feed for a moment, blobbing across the image before retracting cheerfully.]

[Never one to be outdone, Arsène blobs a little more before arranging himself in the shape of a flower in a vase, petals turned toward the camera lens.]

[aha! a show-off contest? That's right up Dupin's alley! there's a moment where thought clearly crosses his tiny Ditto face, before he transforms into a tiny replica of a bonsai tree, branches carefully pruned.]

[Truly this is a match made in Ditto heaven--and now the competition is on! So, the other Ditto can make a hat and a tree, but can he make...

(one globby purple transformation later)

...an elegant pocketwatch and chain?]

[oh! that's marvelous! you can almost see the hearts in Dupin's eyes as he considers his options for a moment and then, puffing his little Ditto chest out, begins to transform.

...transform. my, he's awfully large, what is he turning int--

--a full replica of a grandfather clock. Oh. Well.]

[...Show-off.

WELL FINE THEN. If this rival is going to be a grandfather clock, then he'll simply have to take the form of...a sundial!]

[... oh. hmm. that's quite detailed. Dupin defaults back to his goopy state for a moment, clearly thinking, before turning into a pendulum!

...which then falls over. he didn't think that one through.]

[Well, that's awkward. But a pendulum is interesting! Moving swinging things. And Arsene can do that, too--as he blobs himself, and then shifts into a metronome.]

[once Dupin successfully slithers back up, he considers for a moment, temporarily becoming distracted by the slightly hypnotic moving of the metronome. Ooh. Wait, he has to stay on task! He scrambles, and then--

he turns into a hat with a little pinwheel on top.]

[And something about this latest shape is apparently positively fascinating, though it's hard to say precisely what it is. But two little eyes in the midst of the metronome are watching intently, as the ticking hand, seemingly forgotten, begins to slow.]

[the pinwheel gently spins in a breeze that might be made by the Ditto itself, but that's not important. what's important is the eyes on two of the pinwheel segments, watching the Gear feed in curiosity and-- of course-- mild satisfaction.]

[It apparently takes a little bit for Arsene to remember it's his turn, and when he does shift, it's a little slower and more deliberate than before--this time into a miniature windmill in homage to that pinwheel.]

[the pinwheel spins a little faster at that, almost cheerfully. the tiny eyes are such happy dots right now, and after a moment, the hat, from some unknown mouth location, emits a happy trill of Ditto!]
