[the Gear feed displays a young adult, somewhat androgynous, leaning more towards male than anything else. he? has a serious look on his face, hat pulled up slightly to show exactly how serious said look is.]My name is Naoto Shirogane. I'm a detective from Japan, and I'm curious as to know how many other people have been kidnapped and brought here ( Read more... )

Shirogane?

[hm... it seems as though she doesn't remember]

The materials you were provided with are fairly comprehensive, but there are certain details about this world they leave out. Such as the fact that odd things occur from time to time.

What sort of odd things? [this is the first she's heard of that, aside from, well, the Pokemon themselves.]

There have been instances of the Pokemon losing their sanity and causing serious injuries to trainers. Even further, twice since I've been here has the entire population of Johto had three day's worth of memories erased completely.

Three days-- [that gets her attention.] That is extremely worrying-- on both counts. Were all Pokemon dangerous, or were the trained ones safer?

I don't remember how I was brought here.

[His initial assumption was because of Babel, but Atsuro isn't so sure.]

There was nothing unusual prior to your arriving here?

Before I came here, I was in the middle of a programming project.

I see. From what I've gathered, it was the same for most people-- going about their normal business, before their arrival.

[why are you blushing so much, this is a little suspicious, she's getting a tad bit flustered just watching you be flustered.]

--Yes, I'm quite glad that I'm not the only one here.

I don't think you'll find many people who know how they got here. It seems like a common theme for people to forget that part of this place.

It does seem common. I was hoping there would be something unusual in the events leading up to everyone's arrival here, but there doesn't seem to be anything there, either.

Well, I think part of the problem with that is a lot of people seem to be from all different worlds so what's unusual for one person might be completely ordinary for someone else. [And as an after thought.] Which I guess is a pretty unusual thing itself.

Everyone has their own perspective of unusual, at least. I can say that nothing unusual for my life happened prior to my arrival here.

I was just hanging out back home when I got here. Nothing too eventful.

[He shrugs. It's not something he's put too much thought into.]

That seems to be a common trend. I admit that I was hoping for a more obvious commonality, but the lack is hardly surprising.

Trust me, it gets even more complicated. Like the fact that people come from different times.

Different times? Wherein the future from one person's perspective is the past from another?
