Berries mostly, but it's safe to feed them a bit of human food from time to time. At least it seems to be. [None of his have gotten sick yet, anyway.]

Not the pokémon, no. Humans will get sick from eating them but most berries actually have healing effects on pokémon. Like they can cure poison and burns and stuff.
