[ One familiar lineface appears on screen. Bringing Rinoa to Goldenrod...he isn't looking forward to it. It might be a sign he needs to challenge Whitney soon. Running away from problems? Leon? Never. ]

I'd offer Strike, if I wasn't in Goldenrod. [ Speaking of the newly-named Riolu, she's crouched on his shoulder, looking down at the camera with feigned disinterest. Skarmory is tucked away in her ball: Leon knows better than to let her out whenever Quistis is around, as her behaviour quickly becomes aggravating. ]

[ What are you giving him that look for, Quistis. Strike looks away from Tempest and his trainer--clearly they're not worth her time. ]

She's doing well. [ She protests a bit when he plucks her off his shoulder, his strong hand around her abdomen. ] She's getting stronger. [ The compliment pleases her, because she temporarily stops squirming, giving her trainer a proud look. ]

So does yours. [ Aaaaand she deflates, just as fast. ]

[ Tempest feigns apathy at Leon's words, but he's looking away to hide a pleased expression. The expression sours quickly when Quistis tweaks his ear. ]

He's a little easier to train than the rest of my team, levels around Violet being what they are, so he's been getting out a lot more.

[ He sets her down, watching as she scampers off to go trounce another Spearow. He turns back to Quistis. ] You been holding out in this weather?

Yeah, I've been all right. It's been cold, to say the least, but I'm no stranger to it. [ Tempest, leaning closer to his trainer's head, seems colder than she does. ]

Still, it's not much good to travel in. I'd love for it to warm up a bit and stay that way for a week or so. I'm going stir-crazy, here.

[ He nods. To be honest, it's colder in Johto than it ever was in either Radiant Garden or Traverse, but since Aerith modded his jacket into a coat, he can't complain. ]

[ There's a pause on her end, too, before she speaks of She Who Must Not Be Named. She can tell Leon's still a little uneasy, but she has no intention of sidestepping the subject forever, especially since she's traveling with Rinoa now. ]

Rinoa didn't travel with us the entire time, and she was... in a coma for part of it, so she's less acclimated to it. Still, I think she'll be fine.
