Maybe. I'd be uncomfortable telling anyone about their own future if they'd remember it when they went back. It seems like it could potentially cause a lot of trouble.

Yes, but it isn't you. Would he be angry at you for keeping things from him? Does he even want to know about his future? A lot of people wouldn't, I think.
