DREAM 005 [VIDEO/ACTION IN ICE PATH]
[It's been almost a week since everyone has woken up from this strange three-day sleep. Everyone has also sent in their panic struck messages all over the network, asking where on Earth they are, how is this happening, where are their friends are. There have been just swarms of them. Of course, other messages of relief have been sent back and in not time, everything has gone back the usual everyday entries and almost normal lives.
But hey, not everyone has sent in their messages to reassure that they are safe. Well, not Souji at least.
Friends of Souji might have noticed that he isn't in Violet City anymore. Just like many others, it isn't very hard to figure out that he probably has been transported to another area. After all, it's not like he just leaves his room without a trace all of a sudden, and with the large numbers of people moving around, it's a safe conclusion to say he too has been dragged around. However, if that's the case, why hasn't he been responding to anyone's messages?
He hasn't kept in contact with anyone. Not a single reply or even a little text message. It's unsettling to say the least when something like that happens, but what is the reason for this? Well, if one will take a look through a list of signals around, his is still around so that means he is still in Johto. Where in Johto, of course that will not say, but that rules out one possible reason why he hasn't been responding. Well, instead of sitting here and pondering it all, long story short-- his Pokegear is half-broken. Yeah...how anti-climatic, huh?
Why is his Pokegear broken? Well, the location plays a huge factor why. A hundred yen-- well, a hundred Pokedollars for the correct answer on the first guess. He is in a place with lots of ice, it's ridiculously cold, it's pretty much a maze, and there are Jynxes everywhere that will jump on anyone or anything every minute.
If the first guess is Ice Path, then that is correct.
Of all the places that Souji just has been transported to, it just has to be Ice Path. It is the coldest place in Johto, asides from Mt Silver. Nope, not beautiful Ecruteak City or the by the crystal clear waters of Olivine City. Nope, none of those. He is stuck with an ice cave and by God does it suck. He can't walk around for three minutes without slipping and falling, hence the half-broken Pokegear. It's a miracle that he can still use it properly.
The screen is smudged and cracked at the corners. It really has gone through more than just a few falls, but at least it is somewhat clear enough to see both Souji and his surroundings. The leader seems to be sitting down on a nice pat of dirt and leaning against a wall, away from the ice. From this angle of the leader, it also seems as if he has placed the gear on the ground to record instead of holding it in his hands. Well, guess he can't really hold anything in his hands if he's using one to cover his right eye and the other resting on his knee.
Wait, why is is he covering his eye? And what's up with the roughed up look? It may be somewhat hard to tell with the angle and half-broken screen, but he does look like the aftermath of a fight, not from slipping and falling.
Well, thanks to this encounter with his Shadow, he's kinda injured right now. Well, not kinda. He is injured. Only figures that his Shadow knows how to pack a punch-- literally, and the jerk thought only faces are good punching bags, giving him a black eye in the process. Not to mention all the other bruises from being tossed around and the rough ice not treating him too kindly, though at the very least the Shadow didn't transform on him. It just has had a huge fist fight with him. But really, that hasn't been his main concern when he met it for he has been more focused on what it has been saying.
And there is reason number two as to why he hasn't contacted anyone. Even if everything comes as such a blur and a mess, he can still clearly hear his Shadow's taunts:
"Did you think you were special?"
"You're left out in the cold."
"You don't know anything about yourself."
Of course, he isn't quite sure if this has been all a dream or not-- facing his Shadow, that is. Everything is just a blur and for all he knows, it could have just been a crazy Jynx that has taken his refusal a little too close to the heart and beaten the living crap out of him; not like he'll ever tell. But that doesn't quite explain how he has ended up in Ice Path or why on Earth his wounds matches with the ones he's given in his dreams of it.
Either way, dream or not, he just has needed some time alone. Even if it does mean he'll have to stay inside a freezing cave for a bit. He just needs to go over what it has said-- consider it. All those other things it has said. Those aren't true, are they? But...a Shadow is the the other side of one? The one that holds all the secrets and hidden feelings of someone? When that Shadow is defeated and when it is accepted, it becomes a person's strength-- a Persona. However, there has always been one thing that has bothered him for so long. If a Persona is being of oneself, then what does it mean if someone can change theirs by will?
Does that mean he changes his personality to best suit others? Is that why he's so good at listening to other people's concerns? Everyone has been always so depending on him and he never really has had the chance to spill his own concerns out, but did that mean he didn't want to hear them? He didn't hold it against them. He is Leader after all and that has always been fine by him, but up until now, he hasn't been quite sure.
"Senpai, I need to talk."
"Partner, you free? I want to get some things off my chest."
"Hey Souji, listen to me for sec."
"Sensei, can you comfort a bear?"
It has just all been one question after another since he has woken up and he just has needed some time to himself. But even after nearly spending a week alone, he hasn't been able to really pull himself together. Yes, he does feel better, both physical and mentally, but it is still something lingering in the back of his mind. So, after moping around, he has figured that maybe he should try and spend the rest day on trying to figure out how to get his broken gear working. It is better than trying to slipping on the ice some more. He has had enough of that this morning and he thinks he should at least make others know that he's still alive. When has been the last time he has contacted anyone?
Without removing his hand from his eye or his lap, he takes a deep breath and exhales once, watching the white smokes dancing around. He takes another breath before actual speaking this time;]

It's been a while. Sorry about not being able to contact anyone. My gear is pretty broken right now.
[He leaves out how he has been moping around out. It isn't that hard to tell though ,but at least he's trying.]
Hope everyone got thrown somewhere better than a cave full of ice. It can get pretty slippery here. Probably fell more than enough for a lifetime. I'm sore all over.
[He puts on a small smile, just to prove that he's alright-- just prove that not everything is downhill and that he hasn't been completely down.]
Can anyone fill me in the gaps of what has happened so far? I'll greatly appreciate it.

Has anyone been having strange dreams for the past while? Stuff you wouldn't normally dream about?
[Things like Kool-Aid mans, zombie dogs, Mystery Food X, unicorns, or Shadows. Stuff like that. Just anything out of the ordinary to tell him that he isn't the only one having these dreams and he's not going through another craze because the last thing he needs is Igor busting in.]
