From my understanding she cries every time she gets defeated, which is preposterous if you ask me, since it happens quite frequently. [He doesn't seem very bothered by this.]

As I understand it, it is her duty and obligation as a gym leader to accept challenges. What I don't understand is why she has not been removed from the position as of yet.

What's the advantage to challenging a gym leader?

[That... actually a good question. He hasn't thought much about the advantage, other than a few rumors.]

For one it gives one something to do while stuck in this place. Having to challenge the gyms requires traveling to the different cities and training your Pokémon creatures enough. So it is most certainly a time filler.

There are also rumors floating around, unconfirmed as of yet, that if completing the gym challenge you may get to return home. I hope to find out whether this is true or not. [And since he can't send his demon butler off to do the job for once, he's stuck doing it himself.]

If it's just something to do, then I have plenty of alternatives.. though the idea of returning home certainly has my interest.

I don't rightly mind exploring a new land, but I wasn't planning on staying here forever. I just might look into these gyms myself.
