[Ciel can be found in the Pokémon Center in the wee hours of the morning. It's so early, that it's still somewhat dark outside, though the sky is beginning to light up. He's spent the entire night slaughtering Pokémon out on route 32 after this thread here. He'll suffer from it on top of everything else. A cold isn't far off

[Uh-oh. Chrome takes off from the Inn to the Pokemon Center, face set in a worried frown.]

Ciel-san?

[He starts slightly having half fallen asleep on couch. He blinks a couple of times blearily, and then winces when the pain in his face returns.]

Miss...Chrome?

[mosorgans]

[She hurries to his side, taking a careful seat on the edge of the couch]

Your face... What happened?

[He's highly tempted to tell her it was Sebastian. Perhaps she would get mad at him and no longer associate with him. At least for a while. Highly tempted.

He doesn't though. Instead he looks away.]

I... had a quarrel.

[mosorgans]

With Elizabeth-san?

[She grabs at her bag and starts digging through. After coming up with nothing she leaves him a moment to talk to one of the nurses and returns with an icepack wrapped in a towel]

Um, if you put this on it, it'll help the swelling go down...

[With a sigh he takes the ice pack and presses it to his bruised face wincing again at the cold and pain. He doesn't pull it away though.]

With Elizabeth? Hardly.

[He looks away after a second.] With Sebastian. However it's not important.

[mosorgans]

[She keeps her hand there, fingers brushing against his.

The reveal that the fight was with Sebastian surprises her] Sebastian-san...? What happened?

[His eyes darken for a moment, just thinking about it again.]

It would seem that Sebastian doesn't feel the need to play his role as my butler anymore. We had a... disagreement.

[mosorgans]

[Her hands moves a bit, splaying her fingers over his in a comforting gesture, should he need it]

I-I'm sorry... Is there anything I can do? [There's a twisting in her stomach, a worry that this is going to drive them all apart and she doesn't want to choose between them]

[He jerks his hand away on instinct then sighs. He's still not used to people touching him so easily.]

No. [He looks away again frown deepening. There's more than just Sebastian's disobedience bothering him, but he won't mention it.

After a moment he turns to give her a soft apologetic smile.]

There's no need to trouble yourself over it. It would have happened eventually anyway I imagine.

[mosorgans]

[His sudden movement startles her, and she drops her hand to her side, fingers curling into an unsure fist.

She's still going to talk to Sebastian anyhow, but she nods anyhow to placate Ciel.]

...If it makes you feel better... I accidentally hit him alongside the head with a lamp a couple weeks ago.

[He blinks and chuckles slightly.] Is that what happened to his face? I didn't get a chance to find out, but I did notice the rather large bruise.

[He lets himself relax slightly. Chrome was easy to talk to. She never judged, and she always wanted to help, yet she wasn't naive like Elizabeth. She'd been through her share of hardships and understood some of the darker side of things. If you could say Elizabeth was the sun; bright and warm, then Chrome would be the moon; shining but with shadows just over the horizon.

He raises an eyebrow at her, his tone lighter.] How did you manage to accidentally hit him with a lamp alongside his face?

[mosorgans]

[She at least has the grace to blush] Um, well. He offered to show me what being a...a 'lady' in your time would be like. More or less. It was interesting, even if I felt bad making him do things for me.

[And this is where ti gets. a little embarrassing and Chrome looks away, bright red] I, um...have sensitive skin, so Sebastian-san got lotion for me and I...fell asleep when he was applying it.

He went to cover me with the blankets, but I thought he was-- [There is a falter, a surprisingly dark look, and then it's gone] someone else and grabbed the lamp and swung it around at him before I could even think...

[Chrome looks to Ciel then] It smashed against the side of his face.

[He chuckles again at the image of little Chrome smashing a lamp against the side of Sebastian's head. It's a surprisingly satisfying image.

Then the rest of her explanation catches up with him.] You... fell asleep, while he was applying lotion?

[mosorgans]

[Chrome turns a very interesting shade of red, thinking back on it. God, what had she been thinking] I... Uh... he was...applying it on my...back...

[SO AWKWARD TURTLE OH MY GOD] I-I had a towel on? [It's offered as if that will make everything better. Somehow]

A towel... [He frowns. It looks like Sebastian may have been treating her all right, or taking advantage of the situation is more like it. It's no surprise to Ciel, just rather... irritating.]

Well I suppose there aren't many options here, but in our time, a butler would never care for a lady as such. Lady's usually have a maid or lady in waiting to attend to them. It is quite inappropriate for a butler to set eyes on a mistress in such a way.

[He's probably not making it any better, but he feels he needs to make clear that Sebastian is an inappropriate bastard.]
