i can feel it in the air tonight

so im reading The Stand..all 1153 pages of it. Its good. Really good..but, as ive learned from each new book ive picked up of Stephen Kings, they almost all are. Im around 870 right now...getting anxious to finish it. Ive also discovered, while writing those first few sentences that i am midly dislexic, and like to repeat words. First time through, i repeated almost 4 seperate words. hmm.
thank god for spell check and my O/C disorder to go back and reread what i write.
but i digress.
Many things have been happening recently.
Work, to begin with, is really fucking lame. I have been told, without any real feeling of disapointment on my boss's end, that i will no longer be joining him in vegas for CES. He has some friend of his, who is just getting into building speakers ( as a hobby, i believe) and he asked if he could go. So my boss gave up my plane ticket AND hotel room, to this guy. Even AFTER he had told me time and time again i would be going.
SO...i now have a giant OPEN spot on my calender at the beginning of the year.
Which leads me to my other news...I may have a new job.
Well, i dont know for sure at all...but my neighbor jessica, who is a PA, gave my name to a friend of hers that is looking for a PA starting Jan 26.
It will be with Turner Studios, working with Court TV. Its a 41 week gig, which means almost a year of guranteed work. And it pays fairly well.
The guy told me to send in a Resume...which i was kinda scared about at first, because i havent written one since high school work study. Every job ive had since then...ive never had to have a resume...ive either known someone, or just filled out an application. So...im kinda nervous about how it turned out...if it looks like i have enough experience, or want of experience in their eyes. But im keeping my fingers crossed, and hoping that it works out...because i really cant see myself staying where im at past the end of Jan...and this is really the only solid lead on a job making the same money i am now.
I also worked a party for this little production company here in atlanta on friday night. Not too bad...walked around, got a little buzzed, and refilled some tubs with beer and wine...and made $100. cant complain about that.

i also watched Miami Vice tonight...the new Mann film. It was good. Definently his style...music was good, action scenes were good..and violent...so all in all, 2 thumbs up.
Some of the building action seemed a little contrived, and felt like it rushed the story into action...but understandably, its a two hour movie, and you cant really make it seem like a year has passed in the film and keep it believable.

also picked up the 15th anniversary Resevoir Dogs. Excellent. Thats all i will say about that.

christmas is coming soon. I still want money. And ive narrowed down gifts for all of you that are getting one.
