time for the belated "back at whitman" post, methinks. here it go:
item 1: my house. i live in my house now. this wasn't always the case. perhaps this seems obvious. what's more interesting is the fact that i didn't live here until almost a full week after school started. basically it breaks down like this: mold is the devil and landlords who ignore leaky basements are grade a douchebags. this mold was out of control, people. there were literally mushrooms growing from the carpet, complete with caps and er'thing. luckily, the ever so gracious miss katharine jean farrington was kind enough to put me up in her swanky clinton court apartment while i was living the transient lifestyle. so, long story short, we have new carpet, a new downstairs bathroom ceiling (the previous one...hmm...what's the word? oh yeah, COLLAPSED), and i'm all fucking moved in. fuck yeah. i'm not going to lie, it's still pretty moldy down here, and if i spend more than about 20 minutes in the main basement room (where there's no windows), i sneeze like a motherfucker. we're talking like 12 in a row. i'm here to report that it does not feel like an orgasm. at all.
item 2: work. i work at the prentiss dining hall washing dishes. yeah, that sucks balls. but damn do i need that money. oh, and i also tutor calculus students. that sucks many fewer balls.
item 3: classes. pretty good. my religion professor is fucking awesome and math senior project is basically nonstop hilarity. oh, and my programming teacher has the most ridiculous late work policy ever. check this shit out: for each day late, you get (drum roll....) 1% off! jesus fucking christ, i'm never going to be motivated to turn anything in on time in that class! in fact, in four hours time, my first assignment will be one day late.
overall, it's good to be back. mostly i just go to class, do work and play guitar hero with dan. what else is new.
now i'm off to read about the talmud. this new aesop rock album is fucking amazing. listen at it post haste.
