[ For once, the 'gear is in Sebastian's hands. You can tell, because the camera's aimed down at the bed, where Ellie sits, all four limbs wrapped fiercely around an egg. She's growling at Gressil, who mills innocently a foot or two away on top of a pillow. Occasionally, the growling will subside, then Gressil will raise a leg or move an inch, and it starts back up again. ]
Happy Holidays, everyone. It seems I've received an unexpected gift this Christmas. Ellie is quite protective of it, as you can see - though I don't think Gressil's going to harm it - and she has been keeping it quite safe since before I awoke, I believe.
[ A slight sigh. ] She won't even let me near it, so I do hope she plans on keeping it warm.
[ Ellie looks up suddenly, then looks back at Gressil. When he doesn't do anything exceptional or threatening, she dares to let go of the egg with one paw, which she uses to drag a layer of blankets over the egg. Once it's covered, she clings to it again. ]
