[Ciel had woken up in the morning to find Sebastian missing which wasn't all together unusual. He had probably gone and picked up a job in the kitchen or something. Well he ought to put his one actual skill to use after all.
He comes downstairs to ask the receptionist if Sebastian was in the kitchens and stops dead in his tracks. Desserts everywhere! His stomach growls in anticipation and he makes his way slowly into the room where he encounters the butler, who wishes a bright happy birthday and explains today's menu.
Anybody who wants to sit and talk with Ciel or give him birthday wishes he will be in a corner of the room always with a plate full of something and a full tea cup. Feel free to thread here.]
[Romano had no intention of really coming to where all the commotion was, but he was allured by the food--especially the desserts. Those seemed the most amazing. But seeing that scary looking guy around from the video feed was around and possibly watching his every move. The thought didn't encourage him to try and pick one off of the tables.]
[The food could have been tampered with. The best thing he could do, he supposed was to watch and find out if anyone was suddenly dropping dead of food poisoning. Romano toddled over to Ciel, trying hard to be as sneaky as a boy his size could be. The other boy seemed the most likely person to show signs of poisoning, if he had to judge by all the food he surrounded himself with.]
[Ciel hadn't noticed Romano as he was basking in chocolate paradise. He was almost getting full, which meant it was time to slow down again, and let the food digest for a while. He set the fork down and took a quick drink of tea.
Growlithe however, sitting under the table didn't miss the boys presence. Oh look, a new person! Yey! With a yip she bounded over to him, rearing back and placing her paws on Romano's shoulder, and licking his face.]
Growlithe what are you doing? Down. [Growlithe lets Romano go, but stays in front of him wagging her tail. She loves meeting new people.
Ciel turned to Romano and began to apologize and stopped]
[If only he could taste some of that chocolate right now...
...But instead he gets a faceful of doggy kisses. He screams and tries to back away, but after a moment of sheer panic he realizes that it's just a dog. Romano couldn't bring himself to be completely afraid of the strange dog that greeted him. It was still terrifyingly large to him, but at the very least it hadn't seemed like it wanted to eat him.]
[He wiped his face of puppy spit and turned to face Ciel with a well worn expression of disinterest.]
Sebastian? [That must be the naive idiot.] ...You mean that weirdo over there, right? [He points to the only freakishly tall, dark, and somewhat intimidating man standing around.] Why? Are you that traveling companion of that creepy guy? ...And who are you calling a kid? I'm old enough to be taken seriously, moron.

Won't you help yourself to some fruit and chocolate dip. The tea is actually rather delicious as well.
