[ A Teddiursa's inquisitive face appears, filling the whole screen. Her head tilts slowly to one side, but after a moment, it becomes apparent that it isn't her head tilting - it's the camera. The view rotates until it's entirely upside down. ]
Urrr... ?
[ From offscreen, a deep male voice sounds, hushed. ]
That's right, Ellie. Bring it here.
[ The camera wobbles as Ellie toddles over, and it steadies when it changes hands, turning itself around and right-side-up to focus on Sebastian's handsome face, currently shaded by a black felt bowler. He speaks quietly, just barely loud enough to be heard over the soft hiss of rain in the background. ]
This is a bit risky, but I believe it safe to assume that the young master will not venture so far outside of his comfort zone to come looking for me on this network.
[ He chuckles as Ellie clambers up his back and tries to hide her head under the brim of his hat. She does look a bit damp. Sebastian removes his hat and places it on her head. ]
Sa! Ted ted!
[ Ellie hops off and splashes her way into a small puddle, turning in circles with her paws on her new hat. ]
This creature - a 'Teddiursa,' it would seem - is actually quite endearing. I have given her the nickname 'Ellie.'
[ His smile turns mischievous for a moment. There's a joke here, but most people wouldn't get it. That's fine, because it's a joke meant for Sebastian, really. (And Ciel, once he catches him.) ]
I have encountered a few more of these 'Pokémon' since leaving that little town. They all seem to be relatively intelligent, which is intriguing. I admit, I find this place fascinating, if... somewhat unsettling.
[ A dark look crosses his face, but is quickly swept away by another sweet smile. He isn't planning to let on to anyone that his powers have vanished - at least, not until he has to. This is half the reason for his avoiding Ciel. ]
There is one thing I'd like to ask of anyone in the Route 29 area: if you happen to come across me, please do be quiet. I would rather my young master not be aware that he's being followed.
[ He smiles again, apparently cheerfully, and turns the feed on Ellie for a few moments. She stops to look at the camera, and it zooms in on her face. Her puzzled expression morphs into delight. ]
