[Which, since Machop only has one move that does any actual damage, pretty much means Low Kick it into oblivion. While Machop engages the Pidgey, Snow will be jogging up to Kobato and her dog thing.] Hey, you okay?

[ Kobato and Growlithe stare as the Machop enters battle with the Pidget, before they glance at each other and then up to Snow in unison. ]

Hey, does yours want to finish it? I mean... If you fight stuff, then it'll get strong and you won't have to run away.

See? Those are the two attack things he can do right now. So you've just... gotta point him at the Pidgey and tell him to do one of 'em, and he'll have it beat in no time.
