[That is ... a lot of babies.]

Looks like you're going to have your hands full.

{Babies everywhere!!! She smiles softly at Cooper - she clearly cherishes this moement.}

Indeed. Happily, they're all sleeping now, but when they wake up...

[Aw. He appreciates it too, really, especially on seeing her happy about it.]

There'll be quite a ruckus.

{The houndour pup in her lap hiccups sleepily, and she pats his back gently.}

Well, I'm used to it, luckily enough. I had to keep an eye on an entire division of adult children back home. Surely these little ones can't be nearly as bad.

I wouldn't count on it. Considering their abilities they might keep you more busy than you'd think.

Well, I have fixed the fence up, and this room has screens, so the Drifloon can't be blown away... I did try to make a playpen type area first, so that when they hatched I would be able to work, and know they weren't going to pull a Shunsui on me.

Shunsui?

Ahaha, sorry. It's an expression we used back where I come from. My Captain, Kyouraku Shunsui, is the laziest beast known to us, and is always and forever finding a way to skive off and avoid his work. Henceforth, his name is associated with the act of escaping and just generally running amok.

...It's a rather, uh, different neologism to what you are used to, and I'm sorry if I confused you.

That's quite alright. Sounds like an undesirable trait in a Captain.

[He'd just been curious, and having gotten an answer, onwards to pointing things out. It's what he does best.]

You have no idea. It's hell to try and get him to sign more than three documents in a row.

{Hooray for such skills!}

Well, paperwork is torture.

[He would know.]

Only when you put it off for too long. When it piles up, that's when it gets torturous.

It has an uncanny ability to pile up without any help on my part. [And no, not trying to defend your Captain here, which should be apparent, just musing on the mysterious ways of torturous paperwork.] Not that that's any excuse - then again, few people are fortunate enough to have the abilities to prevent them.

That is true, I suppose. I've always wondered as to how it does that... {She lapses into silence for a few seconds as she muses of the oddities of paperwork.} Yes, blessed are those who can avoid the dreaded stuff entirely.

[A small grin.] Amen to that.
