Casefile 002A - Video; Cherrygrove City

Oct 08, 2011 02:40

Three days wandering in the wilderness and I'm back to civilization.

[Harry's set up somewhere at the outskirts of Cherrygrove, right at the edge of Route 29. Lara can be seen in the background, rummaging through her trainer's backpack, occasionally tossing things out past her wiggling legs.]Relatively, anyway. This road was pretty tame for ( Read more... )

I've had normal conversations with some of the people around here. Folks around town, gym leaders...

[He shrugs.]

It's pretty inconsistent.

"Inconsistent" isn't a bad description of this place. If nothing else, there doesn't seem to be any kind of pattern in who ends up here.

Not to mention how some people return with memories and others don't.

That part I might just put down to alternate universes. Only hitch is, you go home and you don't remember THIS place.

Still weird, though. My friend Sora left, came back without memories, left again and came back with the memories from the time before he was here last.

Okay, that I have no ideas on.

[That's not something a wizard says often, so savor this moment, Riku.]

Well, nothing beyond "there might be some cosmic prankster-god playing havoc with all our memories", but that's not particularly helpful.

You know, somehow that wouldn't surprise me.

[Yep, after being in Johto for a year, he's used to weirdness.]

Could be one of the legendaries.

One of the what?

[Genuinely curious, now. This is something he didn't hear about last time he was here.]

Like, legendary trainers, or Pokemon, or is that like the Johto version of Call of Cthulhu?

Legendary Pokémon. Don't know much about them, but I hear they're pretty powerful.

These things are already pretty powerful from what I've seen...

[A glance over at his Smoochum. He's had some first-hand demonstrations that she's way stronger than something her size has any right to be.]

Yeah, could be.

I'd say the legendaries are closer to gods than regular Pokémon, though. Heard they're pretty ancient.

[Plus, that Lugia was huge.]

[Harry glances at his Smoochum again. Something like Lara plus phenomenal cosmic power is something Harry'd rather not think about.]

Sounds like something worth looking into.

Smoo?

Carefully.

[And hope Lara doesn't learn swordsmanship from a Scotsman before they meet one in person.]

You're telling me.

[He smirks. Oh, the possibilities.]

A fully evolved Pokémon is a force to be reckoned with. Imagine having a legendary on your team...

I'd rather not. I have enough issues with property damage as it is.

[The smirk is a bit worrying. Harry remembers being young and wanting -needing, at the time- that kind of power. It ended badly, to say the least.]

Smoo?

Well, not HERE...

You live a dangerous lifestyle?

[Or maybe he just likes destroying things. Either way, Riku's curious.]
