Scary Face
Char is Aang's starter, so named because it was his favorite "word". Char is curious and energetic, but not, apparently, very bright. He has a hard time telling whether or not something is safe to investigate, and likes to sniff and nibble on anything he finds. Even after his evolution, he is still very laid-back and friendly; he's just a derpmeleon instead of a derpmander. Char is surprisingly good at battling, and is probably Aang's strongest Pokemon. He is only very rarely in his ball, and usually walks alongside Aang.
Kotane (小籽)
Lv. 20 Pidgeotto
Font: Saddle Brown
Female
Keen Eye
Careful Nature, Alert to sounds
Tackle
Sand Attack
Gust
Quick Attack
Whirlwind
Kotone was the first Pokemon that Aang caught, a Pidgey at the time, who was following some dropped seeds. Her name is a combination of two Japanese words, "koto" (pigeon) and "tane" (seed). She has perhaps the most caution and common sense of the whole group (including Aang) and frequently acts as babysitter to Char. She is not very strong, but fiercely defensive of her "family," especially since her evolution. As a Pidgey she would ride on Aang's shoulder, but since her evolution doesn't exactly fit, thus preferring to ride in her Pokeball.
Sanjok-O (삼족오)
Lv. 20 Murkrow
Font: Navy
Male
Insomnia
Sassy Nature, Thoroughly cunning
Peck
Astonish
Pursuit
Haze
Wing Attack
Aang caught his Murkrow during the Shedinja event, as it was trying to get into his bag. He is named after a Korean mythical crow. Sanjok-O is basically a troll - he loves to tease Aang and take his stuff. He has a particular fondness for anything shiny, with no regard for its actual value. Aang has trained him to hold the Gear, and while Sanjok-O has a natural gift for it, he doesn't listen to Aang very well and will occasionally fly off with it. He enjoys riding on Aang's head, but is frequently confined to his Pokeball.
Ubume (産女)
Lv. 16 Drifloon
Font: Dark Orchid
Female
Aftermath
Docile Nature, Likes to relax
Constrict
Minimize
Astonish
Gust
Focus Energy
Aang caught Ubume in the Sprout Tower, after she tried unsuccessfully to kidnap him. Aang didn't really understand, however, and thought she wanted to play. She's named after a Japanese type of ghost, usually a mother figure who has lost a young child. She is very relaxed, bordering on lazy, and prefers just drifting in the breeze to anything else. She also has quite a sweet tooth. She generally holds on to Aang's backpack and allows him to pull her around, so she doesn't have to work at all.
Jian Yu (劒羽)
Lv. 3 Skarmory
Font: Grey
Female
Sturdy
Adamant nature, Likes to fight
Leer
Peck
Jian Yu hatched from an egg Aang bought from Ise Nanao. Her name means "sword feather" in Chinese. She is surprisingly fierce and feisty despite her young age and has very little sense of her own power. As a result, she will sometimes pick fights that she obviously can't win. This, combined with her bright feathers, means that she and Sanjok-O do not get along well. At all. She mostly stays put in her Pokeball, as she's too heavy to carry comfortably, and too likely to get in a fight to be allowed free reign.
