It's been a while, I know. So much time has passed, I wonder if it's worth updating :-P. I'm just getting over being sick, which wasn't as unpleasant as I feared. I took NyQuil just about every night to ensure sleep, and it worked out just fine. Classes are going well, despite the 3 midterms I have this week :-\.
I had a rather fun, but slow weekend. Kelsey came over Friday and spent the night. I also twitched my whole body while we were in bed and embarrassed myself in front of her. We also discovered that Sheetz has some kickass wrapz. Saturday, I pretty much bummed around since Britt and Katie had family over. It was actually really nice chillin' by myself. I even accomplished some homework, if you believe it. Later that night, we all went out to rent some movies. We watched Date Movie, which I found to be really funny. I'm not sure if I really liked or something, but we all laughed our asses off. We discovered some new music, thanks to the movie, and had a dance party down the hallway. Later, I went to bed with Katie and watched Curious George, and yes, I did cry, so shut up! Sunday, we spent most of the day building the stage and grid for the Guster concert on Monday. It was fun for being manual labor, but around 7:30, we were beat and snuck out to go home. Katie drew me last night for homework, and she gave me a creepy eye, but other than that, it was mostly to scale from her viewpoint. I also slept with her, again, and we stayed up watching Talk Sex and laughing because that Sue is soooo crazy.
Wanna talk about awkward? I got out of the shower this morning and walked out into the hallway only to see the maintance man. FUN.
Last weekend was loads of fun despite the sickness. Friday, I went home with Brittany to work at Pocahontas State Park for a canoe trip. After that, I remembered one of the things I really enjoyed about camp...the kids did all the work :-P. Elissa and I rode together in one canoe to tow back 2 more, which was nice compared to everyone else towing one back by themselves. After a change of clothes and screwy directions to Richmond, Brittany dropped me off at GRC to stay with Ian. We didn't do much outside of watching Wedding Crashers on HBO. We woke up Saturday morning in time to go to Shafer for breakfast, where the Cap'n Crunch made my day, since the eggs sitting in gray juice was disconcerting. I was really out of it most of the day b/c I was starting to feel sick, so I was just REALLY tired. Ian went to the computer lab for work, and I went back to his dorm for a nap. I woke up feeling kind of weak because I needed some food, so we hit up Arby's before heading to THE STATE FAIR. We met up with Brittany, Elissa, Katie, and Clay after spending way too long searching for them. Honestly, Ian and I spent most of the time walking around and looking for cheesecake on a stick, which was absolutely fantastic when we found it. I did manage to get him on ride with me, my favorite one there thanks to my dad...the Lost Mine. Yeah, it's a really lame ride, but I ride it every time I go to the fair. We also did the fun house, and I almost died twice...once on the sliding metal tracks and then on the rolling room at the exit. Clay did this really cool handstand spread that made the attendent laugh in that round thing. OOh! We all watched the Animal Adventure, and I was really excited to see the tiger even though the man in charge was really creepy. I think we finally left the fair at 10:30 and headed back to his dorm. I made him give me a back rub and play with my hair while we watched a rather good episode of SNL (Dane Cook hosted!). Sunday, the Quizno's took too long, and I was late meeting Brittany to head back up to school (sorry!).
I started working in the Ashby Computer lab which equivocates to reading headlines and news articles from fark.com most of the time. Not too shabby for $6 an hour, I guess. I'm waiting for my loans to still come through so I can pay rent. I found out that some things weren't completed for 2 of the loans, and no one even told me! I would've fixed that shit a LONG time ago had someone alerted me to the fact that it wasn't finished. I'm going home this weekend for "Fall Break" (stupid JMU and their Friday off for fall break when I don't even have classes then!) to work a golf tournament Friday and work Saddle Up at PRGSC Saturday. Hopefully, I'll be able to do something with Miss Amy Friday night since I haven't seen her in ages, and I know I'm going to see Ian Saturday night. I think the thing I look forward to the most this weekend is not having to wake up at a certain time on Sunday with Ian. Praise Jesus! However, next week is not going to be so much fun with two German essays due on the same day, one 500-word and one 250-word. Things are pretty much bogging down with the midterm coming up :-\.
Talking to Ian, living with Brittany and Katie, and looking forward to the weekends are my solaces.....
