[That's out of her mouth before she has time to think. It makes Argilla blink, and then give that 'painting' another look.]
"...Even though that's not what a heart looks like." [And she's gotten to look at plenty during her time in the Junkyard.] "...So why does that still seem right?"
I do not know, but I do not believe you are wrong.
-=she looks it over quietly, feeling like she's on the verge of remembering but it's not completely there. Sometimes the now gets in the way of the then=-
[This feels like another thing that they should know about. And even though the idea is just outside of her reach, Argilla still tries to mentally grasp for it.]
"It's like Tribe colors? They were just splashes of color and paint, but..."
[She shuts her eyes, thinking.]
"But they were more then that. They meant Tribe, and allies. The same as how that ring of nails stood for the Karma Temple."
[It's aggravating, just not quite grasping this idea, and that feeling shows up clearly in Argilla's voice and face.]
"There's something more to this, but I don't know what."
[It's something right on the edge of her thoughts, and as she looks at Jinana and her face, something else falls into place in her mind. Argilla's fingers go up to touch under her own eye, of their own accord. Although instead of the paint, they touch her scar instead.]
"...You seem good at 'painting' things before fully identifying them."
[Argilla tests that word out as she makes the observation. There's no annoyance in her voice, though; as much as this is raising some hard to answer questions, it also feels important.]
"Still don't know why I didn't realize that, until now."
"You mean like...You remember things that you've never seen in the Junkyard? Never thought of before, but...They still feel like they should be familiar?"
[From the way her voice becomes a bit hushed, it seems like Argilla isn't just talking about what Jinana might have experienced.
-=she simply nods, Argilla having pretty much stated it perfectly. She knew after observing the others while they were here that they all shared this similar phenomenon=-
[She pauses for a moment, thinking a bit more over the question.]
"...Blood, too. And...It feels like there might be something else."
[Speaking of which, THANKS FOR THE NEAR HEART ATTACK, Jinana. Seeing a broadcast where your comrade's hands are red isn't the calmest sight.]
Reply
Red has always been the Maribel's color, and it meant nothing more then the fact that it was... ours.
-=brows furrow=-
Pride...?
-=for her anyway=-

[She's never questioned the significance of Embryon's orange; just that it meant 'Tribe.'
The video feed gets a bit clearer, and Argilla gets a closer look at the cardboard after she says that.]
"What are you doing?"
[She sounds, and looks, a bit puzzled.]

-=straightens a line of red with her finger, still deep in thought=-
It is called painting.

I still feel as though I am missing something important.

What is it?

[No, that doesn't sound right.]
"It's almost like a tear. I...that thought came that when I looked at it."

-=a fact that had not been lost on her=-
It had not been my intention.
-=though, somehow it seemed appropriate, even then=-

She looks at the red image again.]
"Never considered putting them on paper before."
[Or on cardboard, as the case may be.]
