Movie Prompt: What Dreams May Come

Notes: This nearly killed me! There's five pics I drew for this, I'm posting four now. The missing one will be added tonight hopefully.
HEAD-CANON: It's not really AU, in my mind, this happens years after 7.02, Cas didn't "die", there's no leviathans. Instead, he fell and went back with Dean. They have settled together FINALLY, and live somewhere near Bobby, They still go hunting on the weekends. Sam is at school and probably married Sarah. :)
This was also influenced by the fics I've read about how Cas copes with the trauma of not only falling and becoming human, but also, those awful days he spent possessed by the purgatory souls. Some awesome authors write about him taking on some form of art to cope with all of this. We know what kind of heaven Castiel liked, so I think this is something he would create from his memories of heaven and earth.
In the movie, Chris died on a car crash, here Dean died on a hunt that was supposed to be a piece of pie but went wrong in the end, the one time Cas stayed home. Also, unlike it happened in the movie, Cas did NOT kill himself, my friend Nikkie mentioned that Dean was the only thing Castiel had left, if he dies, Cas would lose all will to live and become a reckless hunter. He would basically let himself die.
Also, my friend Danielle, who is awesome and I love her so much, wrote some lines to go with the art.
Okay, enough babbling.

Castiel knew something was wrong when he saw Dean pull out of the driveway. He wanted to stop him, to tell him not to go, but he stood there. He didn’t know this was the last time he would see Dean alive, and still he blames himself.

Soulmates, he hears. That’s why he sees this tree, when he never saw it in life. Castiel is reaching out to him, and he doesn’t realize, doesn’t know that Dean’s here, that he can see this. When the tree fades, Dean know’s Castiel has given up.

He’s not here and Dean can’t think of one reason why an angel isn’t in heaven. He knows though, that Cas fell, that his death was just too much from Cas to take. He gave up. Dean knows he’s the reason Cas is in hell.

Castiel comes back to himself just in time to lose Dean again.

They stand in the middle of a place Dean never knew or heard of. He painted these trees and this sky long after Dean was gone. It was the last thing he ever created. Castiel never thought he's see heaven again, much less a heaven that he and Dean created together.
