"What are you looking for Odango?" Mamoru asked curiously, as he saw Usagi on her knees, her blue eyes searching everywhere on the floor of the Crown.
"Ouch," Usagi muttered, hitting her head on the table as she got up. "It's none of your business baka."
"What does it look like?" Mamoru ignored her. He too had gotten down on his knees to look for whatever Usagi was looking for.
"I told you, it's none of your-" Usagi started to say and then gasped. "Oh no! What if I dropped the envelope on my way here?" And then glanced at Mamoru nervously, as her cheeks started to turn red. "Y-You haven't seen a red envelope by any chance have you?"
"Nope."
"G-Good," she said. Without another word she rushed out of the Crown, retracing her steps.
Mamoru raised his eyebrows. 'What was that all about?' he thought. "Geez." As he got up, his eyes caught the attention of a ruby-colored envelope near one of the customers shoes. Grabbing it, he thought 'This must be what Usagi was looking for.'
To: Mamoru
From: Usagi
The envelope read. Mamoru then noticed the flap was unsealed. It didn't hurt to read what she wrote right? After all it was addressed to him. He took out the folded piece of paper and his eyes scanned through the horrible grammar. His face was indescribable, as he tried to read what Usagi had wrote. Then as he did, his pale cheek turned into a shade of ruby, like the color of the envelope.
Dear Mamoru,
Lately whenever you start to say something mean to me, my heart would start to break. I don't know why, but I don't like fighting with you. Yet every time we do if feels like you hate me and I don't want that. I don't want that because I think I'm in love with you.
Love, Usagi.
"Hey, Earth to Mamoru," Motoki said, waving his hand in front of Mamoru, who stood there...shocked. "Are you feeling alright?"
"I'm fine..." Mamoru said. "Just fine," he answered, putting the letter away and making a mental note to reciprocate Usagi's feelings when she returned.
And hopefully at a more private place.
