I'm sitting here waiting for Z to get home because we're going to drive down to the jerky place today. So this may get cut short if he shows soon. Then I want to go to Old Navy because there's a shirt there I need a second opinion as to whether it looks good or not.
slightly loose in the waist but has belt loops so I can just slap one of those on with it. The old one had no belt loops.
But I digress... The shirt is a bright turquoise embroidered number.

Also wardrobewise, I got this fabulous brown dotted dress at Penney's last week. And did NOT pay that price. There was a sale and a coupon so it cost me $40. And I have a taupe cropped short sleeved sweater I can throw over it.

(Did ya sense the sarcastic inflection in that "skinny"? As if a size 12 isn't really?) But I only shop clearance racks and sales. My wardrobe is still mostly jeans and t-shirts, but have quite the shoe selection and a couple nice dresses. I have one pair of shorts and two skorts from last summer in the wings for nice weather too. My wardrobe is not particularly extensive.
I'm almost done on the cowl I'm knitting for winter. The timing's right because WendyKnits is going to start a mystery shawlette knitalong on Sunday. I love her bottom-up patterns and have bought about five of them. This one's a freebie, which is pretty sweet. I don't know if I'm gonna go through my stash and use something from there or go to the yarn shop that's going out of business and see what they have cheap.
Oh well. Mr "ringity dong ding dingie doh!" called and is on his way home so I better wrap this up. JERKY TIME!!!!
eta: Showed Z the shirt. His opinion mirrored my initial one. Shirt is fine, sleeves look awful on me. And since that's an area I'm sensitive about, I didn't get it.
