So the weather's gone from frigidly snowy winter, to blah grey rainy spring. Whee. I got one whole glorious day nice enough to sit out in the back yard. They tested the tornado sirens this morning. You know what "season" is coming up soon. Whee x2.
Went to Walmart this morning to pick up pet food. Sure could tell they had a fire in there yesterday. Apparently it was in the kitchen area as there was a sign on the door saying they may be out of some produce and bakery items and there was pallets of those items waiting to be shelved.
Tonight's the first knit meetup at a location closer to me. It's at a Scooters. Gotta save some calories so I can get a mocha. I think it'll be nonfat decaf though since it's at 6pm. For the past three days the scale has said 168. That's another pound down that doesn't seem a fluke. One more pound and it will be FORTY POUNDS off since last May. And all I did was change how I was eating. I didn't really up my exercise much at all. (Thank you, Lose it! app!) I still see all the jiggly bits and don't think I look any different naked, but once I get clothes on I can see that I'm quite a bit smaller. (Went from a size 18 to a 14 now) Part of me would like to lose more, but part of me would like to enjoy the new clothes I've got now for a bit. So I'm gonna keep doing what I'm doing which is not sweating it if I go over the day's budget by a reasonable amount.
I'm almost done with the Multnomah shawl. That thing's been a pain in my ass. Which is odd since it's a really easy pattern. Apparently I have an inability to consistently count to six. And keep track of which of the four rows I've left off on. Which made for a lot of un-knitting. I thought of just keeping going on until the skein of yarn was gone, but have decided against it. I'm gonna stop the pattern rows when the pattern says, but will add three rows of garter after it like someone on Ravelry did with theirs. Then I'm gonna move on to a new project.
I was going to make a different shawl with some Silky Wool yarn I've got in a nice purple, but now that I'm smaller, the four skeins I've got could possibly be a sweater for me instead. I have a skein of sock yarn I bought to make a shawl that could be my next project. It was GOING to be my next project til I saw a different shawl pattern than the one I'd picked out and the idea of doing the new one in a larger weight yarn sort of sounded more fun. But then, if I can't count to SIX and FOUR then what makes me think I can do a more complicated lace shawl?
I love Netflix. I love streaming Netflix. I've been watching the series 'Thirtysomething'. Ah, insanely thin women in majorly oversized clothing with huge shoulder pads. Angsty yuppies. Incessantly neurotic character introspection. I haven't seen it since the 80's. Still a good series for a draaaaama.
Oh well. Time to find a lunch. It's a toss up between an Archer Farm's Apple Chicken Curry and a Lean Cuisine of whatever ilk sounds tasty when I stick my head in the freezer.
