I have read many new books this school year, with more to come I am sure. I am glad. Usually I just re-read old favorites. Currently I am reading 6 books at once. Snakecharm, Doing School, Kessa, Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister, An Introduction to Jung, and An Introduction to Freud and Modern Psychoanalysis. They are all fascinating in different ways.
The classes I want for next year:
Fall Semester
Social Studies
English 3
Algebra 1
Integrated Science 3
Drama 3
Spanish 5
P.E.
Spring Semester
Social Studies
English 4
Algebra 2
Integrated Science 4
Drama 4
Spanish 6
Teacher's Aide
I'm taking the same classes pretty much, just the next level of each. The only real difference is that I'll have P.E. for fall semester only. In spring, I'll be a teacher's aide. I want to be a TA for the library, since the librarian actually asked me if I wanted to be her TA. She said that since I was a freshman it would be hard to free up a period to be a TA, but if I wanted to do it another year. She also said she liked having TA's who actually enjoyed reading, because that was always a help. If I became the library's TA (I don't want to say "her TA" because there are two librarians: Mrs Crowe and Babs. They're both pretty equal, but Mrs Crowe has slightly more seniority over the library than Babs) I would shelve books and organize stuff and check books back in, etc. I don't know what else. Mrs Crowe barely touched on what I would do if I was the library's TA for a period.
I like the TA idea because when I'm done shelving stuff and other work, I can have a free period to do my own homework! I also want the TA position in the spring because that would be the end of the year, when grades and finals are most important and I'll need as much time to study as I can get.
