School's Out!

... At least until mid-January. And sadly I'm not taking Japanese next semester like I thought. Should've signed up for that class before setting up the rest of my schedule.

But anyway, I am actually rather happy with how finals turned out this week. I know my grade already for all of my classes except for Institute (which doesn't really give a grade anyway - you get BYU credit if you were going for it or you don't.) and Women's History because my prof's a procrastinator... And I'm tempted to actually log in to Blackboard to see if she finally did put the grades up for my final and those two papers.

Yielded to that temptation, and now I know my grades for all of my graded classes it would appear. Except Honors, but Dr. G has most of the grades up already and as it is I'm holding a 110 in there.

So overall that makes straight A's for this semester.

W00t! Now I just need to continue that trend for the last two semesters of my community college career!

Speaking of stuff like that, I am considering trying for BYU Idaho instead of BYU Provo - mainly because I have a friend starting at Idaho in the spring semester and begging me to join her after I get my Associates degree. We'll have to see about that though - Mom and the grandparents are still trying to convince me to go to ASU too, so I have to at the very least apply for all three...
(on the bright side though, it's said Idaho's the easiest of the BYUs to get accepted to, so I may have a better chance there anyway. ... But do I want to be in potato-land for the next two to three years?)

So Thursday after my Honors presentation I went with Rae and Kana to the King's Singers concert for Rae's birthday. We reach downtown in what we think is enough time to get some dinner... we made the wonderful(? well to me it was wonderful - that pizza tasted good) mistake of going to a pizzeria that only had one cook on staff that night, and as a result as soon as the pizza arrived we had to put it on a plate and eat it on the run while desperately hoping we'd make it there before the concert started - or at least if we were late that they would still seat us.
Staying on the subject of the pizzeria though, it was one of those nice little niche-places that you might expect to see in New York - brick walls and artwork for sale and everything. And speaking of the artwork, there was a painting of Edward Elric from FMA that was actually hanging up there. Kana or Rae was the first to notice it and pointed it out to the other two of us who didn't see it first. "O.O is that who I think it is?"
"I think so..."

Later: "Yep, it is - the Flamel symbol is on the back of the jacket, and I see automail."

So it didn't exactly happen that way, but that's the jist of it. XD

And the concert was really good too, don't get me wrong. The King's Singers are downright amazing.
OAO and holy crap they did their Twelve Days of Christmas arrangement with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir! Did not know that before *shot* Sorry, sorry, I was trying to get a vid of that arrangement up here. I'll try looking for one with just the King's Singers though for those who don't like Mo-Tab.
... Okay, I can't find the arrangement they did at the concert. Darn it. It was funny though.

Also saw my old HS choir director there! :D

Friday - Kya kidnapped me and we just kind of hung out. Also went to the five-stake singles Christmas party... that was certainly interesting. It was very filled up with activities though - from one to the next, they kept us busy. XD ah well, that's what made it fun I guess. Saturday I went to the Christmas party for the family ward (the one I used to be in before switching to the stake's YSA (young single adults) branch.) ... All of the refreshments were milk and cookies! XD

So that's my week in a nutshell - other than finals, but well I already kind of covered that. Off to make dinner I go!

And tomorrow my wisdom teeth come out... D: save me!

church stuff, holiday: christmas, life
