Woo. I am finally back at my dorm! And what a day it was. xX; What a past FEW days it's BEEN.
I worked on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, which is good, because the money will most definitely be helpful. But, because I worked so much, I didn't have a whole lot of time to pack. So, I ended up packing last night. For some reason, this year I have a WHOLE LOT more than I had last year. Now, maybe that's just because -I- packed, and I don't consolidate stuff, meaning cramming most things into two or three big boxes. No, I spread it out, into seven or eight boxes. Haha. It works. Nonetheless, my room is pretty full. Anyway, so at about 10:30, 11 last night, dad and I went to Cub Foods just to grab some soda before leaving today. Hehe. We got alot. xD I won't be thirsty for awhile. sdkj My dad is so awesome. As we were walking out, he turns to me. "So. Did you get the beer, or was I supposed to do that?" Ahaha. I love him. xDD
Anyway, I woke up about 7:30 this morning and finished up the rest of my packing, and we left home a little after 9, to stop at the bank. After that, we left. Started driving at about 9:30, and got down to the dorms at around 11ish. Made a few stops for mom on the way. Evan came to the dorm to help me get unpacked and moved in; it's really weird being on the first floor. Yes, it made moving in hella easy, but I'm a little uncomfortable with the fact that people can just look in our windows. :/ Granted, we have the shades, but they're not very good. Meggy and I will probably do something about that. Still, it's interesting that they would put girls on the first floor. They normally don't do that. Oh well. Live and learn.
After getting most of the stuff unpacked, Mom, Dad, Evan and I went out to lunch at a place called Grizzly's. GOD their food is good. There's so much of it, though, I can't eat it all, so half of it was just left on the plate. :/ It also took them FOREVER to get it out to us. We were waiting for well over half an hour. They gave us a discount for that. After that, Evan and I came back to the dorm. I unpacked the rest of my stuff, and then sat around waiting for my parents to come back, because the internet was down. Twenty minutes before they came back, the tornado sirens started going off. Security came up and told us we had to go to the basement, because there was a tornado in the county adjacent to ours. THAT was fun, let me tell you. I dunno where my mom and dad were at that point, but they did get to pick me up after we were down stairs for about half an hour, and then took me to Arby's for dinner. But, now I'm back, all settled in, and just ready to kick back and relax before classes start on Monday. Ohhh, it's good to be back. =)
