Oh, what a day, what a day. Two good things happened. Number one... my car got washed. :D Number two? My car got waxed! The best part? It was all done by hand. >)And oooo, boy was that fun! Lemme explain.
My car hadn't been washed since I got it back in... May? I dunno. It was pretty icky looking, though. Well, I had to follow dad out to Shakopee to put our RV back in storage, because we probably won't be using it for awhile. Sad, really; I have so many fond memories of that RV now. Oh well. Anyway, as we were driving home, and stopped for a train - which took about 20 minutes to end, by the way - dad and I began discussing what we're doing on Thursday, which is the day I move into my dorm. I mentioned that I would have to get gas for the car, because I'm not sure that I could make it down to Mankato with a half tank of gas. Dad said I could, but I mentioned that I wanted to get my car washed. He told me to invite some friends over. So, I did. My friend Michelle and my friend Matt came over. >) Oh, boy, did we have fun. Dad gave us buckets, sponges, and soap, and told us to go for it, so we did. Haha. That was so much fun. We were soaked by the time we were done - but the car was clean, too. Anyway, Matt and Michelle left after that, and I came inside. About an hour later, while I was watching a movie, dad came in and goes, "Lauren. Grab a towel, and follow me." He taught me how to wax my car. Haha. So now, it's all shiney, smooth, and sparkly, and ready to be taken to college. ...Now if only it was the Grand Am he PROMISED me, I'd be oh so much happier. I brought it up again, too, as we were looking at some of the scratches on the hood. I was like, "Oh, when did those get there?" Dad said they were there when we bought the car, and I just didn't notice. I responded, "Yeah, I was too busy mourning the fact that I was driving away some old lady car, while my beautiful Grand Am remained behind." Dad just gave me a look. Haha. So. My car is clean, my car is waxed, and I smell like car wax. Not a bad day!
I did have to go into work to check my schedule. I work Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, which is a bit depressing, but the extra money will be nice to have. I'm on a tight budget this year, but again, that's fine, too. Nevertheless, it's gonna be a busy week. I haven't even STARTED packing yet. Ohhhh welllll.
