Surfing!
I am learning to surf! I know I have said this many times, but this time I am actually doing it. You know why it's different this time? Because this time I have surfing buddies. Cadi and Steph are learning to surf too. I went out with yesterday, and Cadi and I went out today too. We cought a few waves, and today I even managed to stand up. :-D However, there is a darker undertone to this tale.... I got stung by a jellyfish! I huuuuge one, with a purple ring and radiating stripes on the top! I was paddling and my hand landed right on it, then when i turned around to get away, my foot hit it. But the sting wasn't too bad. Just one patch of swelling on my hand, and then the top of my foot was covered in little red bumps. The lifegaurd gave me some stuff for the sting, and that made the pain go away, so it was no big deal. The swelling is totally gone now. I just thought it was exciting news to report.
The weather has been really really nice recently, and it has put me in a wonderful mood. Whiz Kidz is still the most awsome job ever. I am totally lucky to have found it! Yesterday was free play day, so it was a taste of what the regular job will be like. Aside from the lack of air conditioning, it was a lot of fun. Some of these kids are so funny. I was involved in a lengthy and detailed conversation about Batman with some little boy. I got to hear about several episodes involving Penguin, the Joker, and Clayface in way more detail than necessary. It was fun though. I guess that's all I have to say. Summer is my favorite season!
